ALL sounds never make Music. Likewise, all Music never leads us to Moksha. There is a theory, which holds that the sole purpose of Music is to prepare people for copulation. But there is also another theory that enlightens the ardent pursuer of Divinity that just before the advent of Moksha, Music cleanses and prepares the fortunate Soul, which after long toil and turmoil is travelling in the right path, to Moksha. After the Liberation of the Soul, that is, after the transformation into Divinity, as a result of attaining Moksha, there chants as lullaby in the Inner Ear of the Jeevanmuktha, i.e. the Liberated-Living, the steady, effortless, ceaseless, … , eternal Divine Music of Perfect Bliss.
Divine Music is the consequence of constant contact in communion with the Musical God, i.e., the Nadha Brahmmam. There is no language barrier or the so-called linguistic impotency in the Music of the Divine. It is the Music conceived for the Supreme Instrument ever created that is the Body enshrining the Divine Soul in order to process and soothe the ignorant Mind and relieves the Self from the clutches of the animality of Ego.
Definitely, there is an infinite difference between Lust Music and Divine Music. As we differentiate Music with noise likewise so is Divine Music associated with Lust Music. Divine Music is complete and perfect and the prime defect of Lust Music is its incompleteness and imperfection. Until we attain Moksha, we are imposed to practise by approximating and imitating Divine Music in terms of Lust Music.
Divine Music is generalised whereas Lust Music is particularised. There is no end to growth by division in Lust Music. There are innumerable purposes and motives for Lust Music. But the uniquely singular aim of Divine Music is to worship and thus cherish God. Divine Music is never restricted by the limitations of Time for it stills Time and freezes the Mind from its habitual aimless wanderings. There are no gradations akin to relativity in Divine Music that one of it is greater or poorer than the other just because it is Absolute and it is the Liberated Soul’s expression of God. Divine Music is the Boon bestowed upon those who are fed up with the viciousness of Lust Music. Vexation is the curse of Lust Music.
Brahmanandham is the true nature of Divine Music. Life becomes meaningful with joy at the advent of Divine Music. Lust Music makes Life tedious and absurd. Divine Music is continuous with God as its only theme. Lust Music is discontinuous baited with addictive traps at its crux and with ignorance & darkness as its chief themes. Anything, if seriously pursued with incessant dedication, will purify our vices if there are any and transform us into Divinity. Pursuing Lust continuously means pursuing discontinuity continuously, which is a contradiction. But according to the seriousness of practising contradiction, Divine Intervention will set these pursuits of us to the right mode. This is the Miraculous Process of Divinity. Passion for the transient leads to Lust. Passion for the transcendent leads to the Divine.
Divine Music is the consummation of Spiritualism. Lust Music is the depression of Materialism. When the Mind is wiped to Zero, the Soul reclaims its Divinity and flourishes by nourishing the Nadhamrutham, that is, by cherishing the Divine Musical Elixir. MUSICOID is the Musical Self of the Jeevanmuktha who has extinguished the EGOID and successfully reduced his ID to ZERO, that is, the ZEROID.

Finding the Divine in so-called Lust Music is im(not-so)ho perfectly exemplified in the work of great Jazz improvisers such as Charlie Parker and John Coltrane who, with their musical genius and extended extemporizations on the spur of the moment, were able to discover and express the Love within the lust, the Agape within the Eros and the Zoe within the Thanatos.
Improvisation is an art practised
by all the great western composers of yore from Bach to Mozart and of course in indigenous musical traditions of India and elsewhere, but is still struggling to be rediscovered in today's classical western music tradition.
Interestingly John Coltrane was drawn to the Indian classical music tradition in his later years and expressed for many the inexpressible Brahman OM in it's raw Universal intensity of DEEP FEELING INTELLECT & EMOTION.Not everyone's cup of tea of course I might add.
Your exegeses are brilliant but unfortunately reveal at times your rather limited indocentric view and could perhaps do with the Universal Brahmanic perspective that transcends all the limitations of parochial human standpoints through passionate and expansive quest for ever greater realization of the Living Truth of Life Itself aka Brahman in all It's Naked Splendour incorporating the total palette of intellect emotion and "lustful" feelings and divine communion through the ultimate threefold divine sadhana of total self acceptance, self enquiry into personal belief systems which create the outer reality, combined with the "yoga of honesty" or honest self reflection with oneself !Of course S-HE OM probably has a different plan for you or I each as we are all unique and different, and human behaviour can never be standardised for too long before the Shiva aspect of Reality has to intervene to accelerate ReCreation.
Since Brahma left India imo He moved on quite a bit, as exemplified by the developments in music of polyphony, sophisticated harmony in music born of trial and error and pain and-or/and-and joyful discovery, perspective in art among other things; creative freedom of expression in literature encompassing the full palette of emotions including lustful (think Nabokov's Lolita to name but one ;-)and translingual cross-pollination; science and it's much-maligned new sister pseudo-science which ironically traces it's roots in oriental mystical tradition lol, democracy social welfare & tolerance and transcendence of cultural differences, and last but not least semitic and hellenic influenced spiritual and religious traditions with their secular counterparts/offshoots and New religious movements of every ilk,all born of His ceaseless imperative to express Himself even more fully in ever-expanding and loving ways through His children/creations in the historical context of the continual Re-evolution of the human species on this blessed planet SriGaiaBhuDevi aka the PachaMama or Great Mother, thanks greatly, but not only of course, to the visible and invisble influence of the avataara known as Yehoshua aka Jesus aka Love or Openness or Unconditional Acceptance of self and other and forgiveness as a path of bhakti-gnana revealing the F Fourfold Effulgence Brilliance Perfection & Love of the Universal Brahman AHAM TAT AHAM...IDAM or simply.. I-AM ! and no coincidence by whose birthdate the entire world of today has consented today to reckon it's calendar for better or worse..naturally I pray for better :-) And all of the above Inventions born in the minds of geniuses are Gifts of our EverLoving Heavenly Father Brahma YHWH OM revealed through the agency of His consort Wisdom Isis Haya Sophia aka Sri Saraswati Holy Spirit incognito as the proverbial Eternal Muse ;-) of every great mind anywhere and everywhere...
To presumptuously insinuate that India or Indian Vedic culture and worldview has a monopoly or moral & cultural superiority over the West is sadly an oft encountered viewpoint by yours truly,being myself of Indian origin but born and raised in the West... and vice versa of course is just as true.
Something I witnessed myself for example when the late Indian guru Maharishi Mahesh Yogi of TM fame decided to set his sights on Vedic world domination and a monolithic One World Government based on Vedic "Natural Law" principles with it's headquarters in Holland and the US proved itself to be less than a 100% success lol -- fortunately for all who prefer the apparently chaotic expression of global democracy - truly natural go take a walk in the wilderness!- as it is, as a valid expression of the Creator's ever new and evolving masterplan that respects and celebrates infinite diversity and individual self expression within the established "imperfect" structures, in spite of the fear of total anarchy, but grounded in total and perfect Trust, Hope and Love.All that rubbish I hear over and over again from spiritual-minded people who blather on about a return to simplicity and naturalness according to the outdated revelations of their scriptures, and who eschew technology and the modern world and materialism all the while hypocritically ammasing vast fortunes and promoting themselves via new media such as the internet while pronouncing eschatological doomsday scenarios from their lofty ivory towers.
Anyone with a sound mind who honestly inquires and looks deeper can see this cannot necessarily be the way forward.
I posit that Brahman OM FatherMother God Source of All Existence is constantly revealing and recreating Itself Idam = NOW! uniquely and perfectly to each individual soul with Universal Truth and truths and even half-truths to put us to the test because Thety definitely do have a sense of humour although unfortunately often it appears the joke is lost on us..but the great thinng is they listen back and answer us often in surprising ways ;-)
We just need to be still and listen to the whispers of Infinity and Zero in their S'self revealing Earthwide Worldwide TransUniversal Joy-Fully Ecstatic Eternal Embrace :-)))
